When you order from Kalista, you are ordering from the people who actually make the rug. No agents taking a cut, no trading house in the middle. What you pay goes into materials, craft, and quality — not commissions.
Our collection is built around what sells — contemporary patterns, on-trend colourways, constructions that work for retail, hospitality, and contract. And if you need something outside the catalogue, we develop it from scratch.
We operate in line with the core principles of GoodWeave, OEKO-TEX, and ISO 9001 — no child labour, responsible dyeing, and consistent quality management. We are actively working toward formal certification. If your buyers ask about supply chain — we are transparent about where we stand and where we are headed.
From plush hand-tufted to flat geometric weaves — everything made in-house in Bikaner.

Bikaner's wool market — twice-yearly auctions, premium fleece graded by hand. We source quality New Zealand wool and are working toward RWS certification for buyers who require supply chain documentation.

Meenu Arora's design team works with yarn samples, colour references, and construction trials before production begins. We make samples, not guesses.

All loom work happens in-house. Hand tufted, hand knotted, handloom — under one roof. Our weavers know the difference between a rug made right and one made fast.

Washing, stretching, binding, coating, quality check, packaging. Export documentation prepared in-house. Shipped to retailers across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia.
The kalakars of Rajasthan understand colour, texture, and design in ways that cannot be taught in a classroom. It is in their hands, their eyes, their instincts. We have built a workplace where that knowledge is respected — and where the people carrying it are employed properly, paid fairly, and given room to grow.
Whether you have a detailed brief or just an idea — get in touch. We work with first-time buyers and long-term partners the same way.
Request our product catalogue and we will send it across within one business day.

Kalista Karpets is a Bikaner-based rug manufacturer and direct exporter. Weaving, washing, finishing, coating, and dispatch all happen in-house — no subcontractors, no outsourced finishing, no points where quality can slip between hands.
We work with wholesale importers, retailers, interior designers, hospitality groups, and commercial buyers across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia. Our structure means you are dealing with the manufacturer directly — on pricing, specifications, lead times, and documentation.
Bikaner has one of India's most significant wool markets, with premium fleece graded and processed by specialists who have worked in the trade for generations. The city's weaving tradition stretches back centuries, shaped by Persian, Mughal, and Rajasthani craft influences. Being based here gives us proximity to raw material, skilled labour, and craft knowledge that is not available elsewhere at the same level.

Meenu Arora has led Kalista Karpets since its founding, building the operation from the ground up into a fully integrated manufacturing and export business. She oversees the design programme, manages international buyer relationships, and has developed Kalista's custom capabilities into one of the most flexible offering available from any Bikaner manufacturer.
Under her direction, the factory has maintained long-term employment for its artisan workforce — many of them women — with structured training and consistent working conditions. The stability of the team directly contributes to the consistency of output.

We source quality New Zealand wool and work with natural dyes across most constructions. We operate in alignment with the core principles of GoodWeave (no child labour), OEKO-TEX (responsible dyeing and material safety), and ISO 9001 (quality management processes). Formal certification is something we are actively working toward — and we are transparent with buyers about our progress at every stage.
If your retail partners or end customers require supply chain transparency, we share what we have openly — and we do not claim more than we can document.

Every construction is made in-house by an experienced, stable workforce. Skills are developed over years, not weeks — and that shows in the consistency of finished product across orders.
Quality New Zealand wool. Natural dyes where appropriate. We source responsibly, we are transparent about what is and is not yet certified, and we do not claim more than we can document.
Our artisan workforce is employed long-term, trained in-house, and paid fairly. A stable team produces consistent work. That is not a values statement — it is how manufacturing quality is maintained.
The 2025 edition of Bharat Tex moved to the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida — a larger venue to match a larger ambition. With buyers from across Europe, the Americas, the Gulf, and Southeast Asia in attendance, it was our most visible showing to date. We presented new constructions alongside our established range, and had more substantive discussions about sustainability documentation and custom development than at any previous event.

A return to Bhadohi with a larger stand and a more complete collection. By this edition, several buyers we had first met in 2022 and 2023 came specifically to see new work. That kind of repeat visit is the real measure of a trade fair — it means the product and the follow-through earned it.

Bharat Tex is India's most significant integrated textile trade event, backed by twelve government export promotion councils. The 2024 edition brought together buyers from over 100 countries under one roof. For us it was an opportunity to show the full breadth of what Bikaner produces — from hand knotted heirlooms to contemporary flatweaves — to buyers who may not have considered Rajasthan as a sourcing destination before.

Bhadohi is the heartland of India's carpet industry — an edition here means standing alongside the country's best manufacturers and being seen by serious international buyers who know exactly what they are looking for. We exhibited a wider range than the previous year and had strong interest from European and Middle Eastern importers.

Our first appearance at the India Carpet Expo, held in New Delhi. A strong debut — the capital edition draws buyers from the domestic luxury market and international sourcing teams operating out of Delhi. We showed a focused range and came away with conversations that turned into long-term wholesale relationships.

We attend trade fairs regularly. If you are planning to visit one, get in touch ahead of time — we will make sure there is time to meet properly.

There is no agent between you and us. No trading company adding a layer. The margin you save goes back into your order — better materials, tighter specs, more competitive landed cost for your customers.
We know what documentation Germany needs. We know how the US customs process works for hand-knotted rugs. We have shipped to Australia, the UAE, and across Europe. The paperwork does not slow us down.
Whether you are placing a container order or building out a small curated range, we can accommodate it. We do not have a minimum designed to price out smaller buyers — talk to us and we figure out what works.
Size, colour, construction, pile height — all adjustable. If you want to develop something outside our catalogue entirely, we sample it, you approve it, we produce it. No minimum design fee. No restrictions on colourways.
We operate in alignment with GoodWeave (no child labour), OEKO-TEX (responsible dyeing), and ISO 9001 quality management principles. Formal certification is something we are actively working toward. We do not claim certifications we do not hold — but we share exactly where we stand, what we follow, and what is coming. More retail buyers and end consumers ask about supply chain every year. We take that seriously.
We do not switch materials after approval. We do not change pile density between sample and production run. If something cannot be replicated at scale, we tell you before you sign off — not after the shipment arrives.
We offer live video calls with a walk-through of the factory — looms running, artisans at work, QC floor, dispatch. 30 minutes. No commitment required. Buyers who cannot travel to Rajasthan use this to verify that we are what we say we are. If you can visit in person, walk in any time — no appointment needed.
Stock samples are free — you pay shipping. Custom development samples carry a fee that is credited back against your first production order. Pre-production samples are woven before every production run and signed off in writing. You know what you are getting before it is made.
We do not display logos we have not earned. What we do is operate in line with the core protocols of each standard below — and pursue formal certification where it matters most to our buyers.
No child labour, no bonded labour, no forced labour. Our artisan workforce is employed as adults, paid on time, and free to leave. GoodWeave's protocols define how we hire and how we work.
Certification In ProgressWe avoid harmful substances in our dyeing and finishing processes. Our natural dye options are safe for people and the environment — the kind of material transparency OEKO-TEX was built to validate.
Certification In ProgressConsistent construction, consistent pile density, consistent finish from one order to the next. Our QC process follows ISO 9001 quality management principles — sample approval is the contract and production matches it.
Certification In ProgressWe operate along the four pillars of SMETA: labour standards, health and safety, environment, and business ethics. Our factory is open to buyer visits — no advance notice required. We welcome scrutiny.
Audit In ProgressWe offer scheduled video calls with a live factory walk-through — looms running, artisans at work, finishing floor, QC station, dispatch. Western buyers who cannot travel to Bikaner use this to verify what we are before committing. It takes 30 minutes and answers more questions than any brochure.
If you can travel, walk in any time. No appointment necessary. We will show you everything.
